History

The Faculty of Economics and Business at Udayana University demonstrates its commitment to preparing professional human resources by establishing the Master’s Program in Management (PSMM) in October 1998. The program obtained operational permission from the Directorate General of Higher Education through Decree No. 372/Dikti/Kep/1998 dated October 14, 1998.

Since its establishment, PSMM FEB Unud opened three initial concentrations: Marketing Management, Financial Management, and Tourism Business Management. The program then added two new concentrations: Human Resource Management and Public Sector Management. The Public Sector Management concentration was later discontinued as it was more aligned with the field of study in the Master’s Program in Economics.

PSMM FEB Unud has significant opportunities to develop various concentration fields tailored to the evolving needs of the workforce. To date, the continuously ongoing concentrations are Marketing Management, Financial Management, and Human Resource Management. After several semesters where the Tourism Business Management concentration was not implemented due to insufficient interest or participants, it was reopened in the 2020/2021 academic year, in line with increasing student interest and its relevance in strengthening the academic field of PSMM. Graduates of the Master’s Program in Management at FEB Unud hold the degree of Master of Management (M.M.).

PSMM FEB Unud has obtained Superior accreditation from LAMEMBA based on Decision No. 629/DE/A.5/AR.10/VIII/2023 dated August 23, 2023, valid until August 23, 2028. In addition, PSMM also received international accreditation from ABEST21 with certificate No. ABEST21AC21017 dated April 21, 2021, valid for five years.

PSMM FEB Unud is located on the campus of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Udayana University, Jalan PB Sudirman, Denpasar. The administrative section is in the BI Building, Floor II, alongside other postgraduate programs within FEB Unud.

Since its establishment in 1998, PSMM FEB Unud has undergone several changes in management. In the 2018–2022 period, the organizational structure was simplified to only include the Program Coordinator position, without the Program Secretary position as in previous periods.
