Enriching Students' Industry Insights, Master of Management FEB Unud Holds Practitioner Guest Lectures

To bridge academic theory with real-world industry implementation, the Master of Management Study Program (Prodi MM), Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Udayana University organized a "Practitioner Guest Lecturer" series. The event was held in a hybrid format (online and offline) on May 20, 21, and 28, 2024, at the MM Building, FEB Unud, Denpasar.

This lecture series focused on three main courses: Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Applied Strategic Management, and Wellness Tourism.

During the online CRM session (May 21), Tommy Trisdiarto, S.E., M.M., Director of Sales and Marketing at Raffles Hotel Jakarta, thoroughly dissected customer retention strategies and the creation of customer experiences in the hospitality industry. Meanwhile, in the offline Applied Strategic Management session (May 28), I Made Subaga Wirya, S.E., M.M. (Manager & Owner of Cilinaya Villa Ubud), shared his practical experiences regarding organizational adaptation dynamics, leadership motivation, and tactics for building a competitive advantage.


Complementing the series, the Wellness Tourism session (May 20) featured D. Rishita Dewi, S.T., M.M., CHT., Psychotherapist and Co-Founder of Remedi Indonesia. She highlighted the close relationship between mental health and the wellness tourism trend through the Human Design approach. She also shared her experience collaborating with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, providing business development tips for students looking to tap into the potential of the wellness tourism market.


Through this direct collaboration with experienced practitioners, Master of Management students are expected not only to sharpen their strategic analytical skills but also to keenly identify promising new business opportunities to meet the complexities of modern industry challenges.
